Wayne is tall at 6'1" and isn't so much toned as he is scrawny. He'll go through phases where he'll work out or run a lot and manage to acquire a bit of muscle, but those times are few and far between. He has one of those terribly fast metabolisms that won't really allow him to gain any weight - which is fantastic for him, seeing as his diet subsits primarily of chips and alcohol. He doesn't really go the extra mile to take care of his body, thinking that he's only alive once, so why not make the most of it? One would think that someone that is hoping to get a job where people need to look at him at all times might be more willing to take care of himself, but Wayne isn't that sort. He's a notorious chain smoker and goes through packs of cigarettes like no one's business. Most of his money that he has to spend goes toward cigarettes, which are much more important than food - you can tell by looking at him that eating is not number one on his priority list.

With short blonde hair, brown eyes, and a five o'clock shadow that one would swear he charms at that length as it's always there, Wayne is a good looking bloke. He isn't the usual sort of good looking, with more of a stringy, drawn out look to him, but he's good looking nonetheless. He nearly always has a small smile on his face and while he's a generally very happy person, he only cracks out the full, toothy smile for few people. He does, however, laugh a lot and it isn't hard for someone to make him do so. His style is strictly casual, not one to wear robes unless absolutely necessary. Having grown up in a Muggle town outside of his paternal and immediate family, he never fully grew used to having to wear robes on a regular basis, including during his time spent at Hogwarts. He's most comfortable in an old pair of denims and a sweatshirt, although he'll occasionally rise to the occasion with a nice sweater if he must. He also has reading glasses that he honestly has to keep on him at all times or he won't be able to read things without holding it at an arm's length. He hates his farsightedness, making him feel a lot older than he really is, but he's come to accept it.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Wayne is the life of the party. He is outgoing, friendly, and extremely social and isn't happy unless he's talking to someone. He is incredibly self-confident, which makes it quite easy for him to make friends and meet new people. He is the sort of person that if someone is put off by him at first, he won't give up until the person realizes that there is more to him. He is a persistent person, never taking no for an answer when it comes to buying a woman a drink or dancing together. However, he's incredibly charming and knows what he's doing so there's very little chance a woman will say no in the first place. Over the course of time, Wayne has learned what a woman does and doesn't want to hear and while he's never insincere in the things he says, he won't hold back when it comes to flirting and complimenting a woman that catches his eye.

Wayne is a very loyal and trusting friend. He isn't hard to get to know and is just open and honest at all times. There is very little grey when it comes to him. Either he likes someone or he doesn't. Most people he likes, although there are exceptions - most of them being people who give him a hard time. He is a forgiving person and tends to give second, third, and fourth chances to people he trusts. However, if he gets burned badly by someone he doesn't know well - or if one of his friends are burned, for that matter - he only needs a shot of whiskey before he'll punch them. In other words, he needs very little excuse to get back at someone, but it has to be rather big before he'll make any sort of move.

Wayne has always been very creative and versatile, thinking up strange and almost random solutions for problems that other people would never think of. He can go from point A to point Z quickly and efficiently and is almost always spot on. His quick and clever thinking was part of why he was almost sorted into Ravenclaw and was extremely helpful in the Order. He is the sort of person that while he tends to be rather spontaneous, he doesn't really commit himself to something unless he knows full well that he isn't going to get burned in the end. He has a rather strange sort of for sight that allows him to figure out how people will react to certain situations. Wayne also has great leadership abilities and absolutely hates being a follower. This sort of thing got him into trouble from time to time growing up and he's gotten a bit better at curbing his need for always being in charge.

The biggest downfall is his impatience. He has huge, elaborate dreams and can see everything he wants for the future, but he tends to think that the future should be here already. He has trouble sitting back and waiting for whatever will come to come. In addition, he tends to be rather intolerant of those who desire less in life than he might. He doesn't understand why anyone would settle for second best or will just settle in general. He thinks that there is always something bigger and better out there and he strives to find that for himself.

Growing up, Wayne was a lot more expressive and passionate than even his sisters ever were. He has always had something of a flare for dramatics and with his mother's support he was in community theatre programs ever since he was very young. He feels more comfortable on stage than he does in his own flat. He knows that's where he belongs and he's rather talented, but he has a horrible trend of completely botching up auditions. He realizes now that it was much easier to land roles when his mother was head of the community programs in the Muggle neighbourhood, but that doesn't keep him from trying. Acting is a huge part of Wayne's life and even if he hasn't found himself a huge part just yet that will turn things around for him, he's confident that it will happen. He has a tendency to blow off work for a last minute audition.

P E R S O N A L H I S T O R Y

Father: Brady Conor Hopkins (b. 1961)
Mother: Eileen Leah Hopkins (nee, O'Reilly; b. 1962)
Sister: Molly Rosaline Hopkins (b. 1992)
Sister: Leah Maureen Hopkins (b. 1993)

Brady Hopkins grew up in Moydow, Ireland, as the only child of a wizarding family. While he always knew that he was magical (he showed his magic at a rather early age), he was forced to keep it quiet because the village was rather Muggle and, as far as he knew, the Hopkins family was the only one there that had any magic. However, he did not feel hindered in the least as he attended Muggle primary school and made lots of friends, including Eileen O'Reilly, who lived right next door with her rather large family of brothers on top of her parents. They became best of friends and, when Brady turned eleven and left to attend school at Hogwarts, their friendship was a bit strained and it was incredibly hard for him. However, once they would meet back up after he returned from his "normal boarding school," everything would pick up just as though he had never left.

In the summer before Brady's seventh year, he and Eileen decided to go from best friends to real, live dating, after some threatening from her brothers and a stern look from her father. Brady left for Hogwarts as usual, but when he came home for the winter holidays, things exploded between Eileen and himself in what was viewed as a rather good way at the time. However, when he finished school under the impression the only thing he had to worry about were his NEWT results coming by owl, he found his seventeen-year-old girlfriend incredibly pregnant. By the end of July, the two were married and by October they had their first child, Wayne Conor.

The young parents struggled at first to get by, their parents supportive but rather surprised at the turn of events between the two. As soon as they were married, Brady came clean with his magical background. In all actuality, Eileen never completely understood it all, even when Brady bought Wayne his first toy broomstick and the boy started showing his first signs of magic. Brady made ends meet working at the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement while Eileen worked as a waitress at a cafe and as the head of the community theatre group that she had grown up part of.

While Wayne grew up with meager means and not quite as much material possessions as any child might want, his family was very loving. The circumstances that brought Brady and Eileen into wedlock were less than pleasant, but the two knew that they owed their son a loving and supportive family dynamic and they worked to keep it as such. Eileen took Wayne to theatre meetings and soon he was landing small background roles and eventually larger, lead roles in children's productions before he left for Hogwarts (although he would be involved during the summers). He attended Muggle primary school until he turned eleven and received his Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Wayne was sorted into the Hufflepuff House when he arrived at Hogwarts and thrived there very well. He was a friendly and vivacious child, something that has stuck with him until his adulthood. While he wasn't a very good student because he had a tendency not to understand why he should study for subjects he had no interest in, he was very good in Charms and Defence. While he was at school during his first year, Eileen became pregnant again and had their second child, Molly Rosaline. It wasn't until 1993 that the last Hopkins child was born, another girl named Leah Maureen.

Hogwarts wasn't very eventful for Wayne - as uneventful as it could be, at least, with a war brewing and the likes of Harry Potter roaming the halls. He got by well and enjyoed his years there, though. He never joined Quidditch, but loved attending games and supporting Hufflepuff. He became friends with a variety of people, not just Hufflepuffs. Because of his talents in Defence, he was also involved in the Dueling Club that sprang about in their second year and he worked to start one again in his sixth, letting himself be the head of the club. He was also a tenor in the choir, having a very good voice.

After Hogwarts, Wayne had no real idea what he wanted to do. He was offered a job working with his father, but he declined it, opting to work odd jobs around Diagon Alley until he managed to land a full-time position at Flourish and Blotts stocking shelves. It wasn't soon after they finished school, though, that Susan Bones opened his eyes to the Order of the Pheonix, something that came up in conversation when he mentioned wishing he could do more for the war support, hating all that was really going on in the world.

Wayne often felt a bit out of place in the Order, but eventually found his niche. He was able to predict movements almost uncannily and often had good insight regarding plans. His talents in defensive spells also came in handy for when there were attacks. He often wished he would have worked harder in Hogwarts to become an Auror, but found that working with the Order and befriending the other people who worked alongside him was almost the same thing to him.

Once the war was over, Wayne decided to leave the magical world altogether. While he kept in touch with his family, he broke off nearly all contacts with his friends from Hogwarts and the Order. He had seen too much to really want to stay and decided to throw himself in his efforts of acting. He still sent an occasional owl to good friends, trying to keep in touch for the first year and a half or so, but he slowly began to filter more and more away. He lived just about everywhere in the United Kingdom but London, it seemed, trying harder than ever to find some sort of acting job - big, small, or anything in between.

Unfortunately, it went quite horribly and after just over two years of jumping from waitstaff job to bartending to whatever else with audition after audition going down the drain, he finally decided to return to the wizarding world. On 1 June, 2003, he moved into a flat on Euphoria Lane, not knowing that many of his old friends were living there. He also has two jobs at the Moon & Sun Cafe and Kelly's Pub. He hasn't given up on his hopes for an acting profession just yet.
